SILENCED

"Silence" is an incredibly powerful piece and very personal to me. Although silence can be powerful in certain situations, I wanted to convey the opposite. As women, we are often silenced or silence ourselves. We hold our tongue for the sake of being polite. We hold our tongue to avoid being seen. We hold our tongue in compliance. Sexual Abuse or Rape-Silenced. Conflict-Silenced. Domestic Abuse-Silenced. Women's Rights-Silenced. Our voices matter. Our Authenticity matters. Yet, we sit in SILENCE.
