“Goddess: Claiming My Divinity “is a self-portrait declaration about reclaiming my personal power, intuition, and sovereignty. It depicts a journey within to regain self-love and self-acceptance finally reflecting externally. The depiction was inspired by Queen Nefertiti, meaning “the beautiful one has come”. Her reign with husband Pharaoh Akhenaten was considered the Golden Reign during the 18th Dynasty in ancient Egypt. It was a period of significant Artistic and Religious transformation, since they transitioned to worshipping Aten-The Sun. I sought to embody an essence of Gold and The Sun in this portrait representation.
